I've tossed around the idea of becoming a life coach in the past, and I'm even more seriously considering it now that the economy has soured. There are lots of people out there who could use my help! I've been exploring the options, and I think I will get certified at NYU. They seem to have a really great, accredited program that a lot of people trust.
Any other suggestions?

iphone app development
so i'm seriously pursuing the idea of learning how to develop apps for the iphone. i figure i speak other geek languages, i might as well learn this one.
so here are a few places that i've noted might be good for me to start gettin my learn on:
the iphone dev center is an obvious place to start for obvious reasons. why not get tips and videos from apple themselves?
iphone development central looks like it might be helpful as well. they've even categorized their videos into extreme noob, not so noob, and mad skilled. (ok they're called something different, but you get the idea.)
lastly, here's an exhaustive list of resources. i'm not sure i'd ever get through all of them, but i'm going to set a goal to spend at least 4 hours a week on this venture. who knows, maybe i'll develop the next app you download!
now i just have to come up with an idea as brilliant as the bad decision blocker or the oregon trail. watch this space!
ps - i'm also looking for suggestions on places in the ny metropolitan area to take some classes on this kind of development.
